Joie de Vivre : Chandra and Matt Part 1

Photos by Phindy Studios

Exuberance, joy of living, love of life – Joie de Vire! That sums up Chandra Osborn and Matt Dudley and their joyous, vibrant October 11 Cedarwood wedding.

Reader alert: Stunning wedding style ahead!

Working with Chandra and Matt in planning and designing their wedding was definitely a joy for the Cedarwood event team. Chandra and Matt know the formula for an unforgettable celebration: rich luxurious colorful floral and decor paired with eye-popping, expressive, uniquely personal details!

Their wedding was full of them including some of the most stunning flowers from Cedarwood’s talented design team. We’re excited to share the beauty through these images from the fantastic Phindy Studios!

One of the most striking elements of this wedding (besides the gorgeous bride and groom!) is the Vineyard Fall color palette of apple green, copper, moss and plum. Exotic flowers and tropical foliage honors Chandra’s Samoan heritage and, blended with rich fall features, creates a signature look for this sophisticated East Coast-West Coast couple.

Anatomy of a bouquet!  Chandra’s bridal bouquet of exotic beauties includes:  Burgundy Mini Calla Lilies, “Charlie Brown” Cymbidium Orchids, Plum Dahlias, Green Mini Hydrangea, Star of Bethlehem, Mokara Orchids, “Sabin” Purple Dendrobium Orchids, “Super Green” Roses and Hypericum Berries.

Matt’s boutonniere adds flair with Mokara Orchids, White Freesia and Hypericum Berries. Maid of Honor Demetria Cain carries an all green bouquet of Mini Green Hydrangea, “Super Green” Roses, Green Cymbidium Orchids, Star of Bethlehem, Hypericum Berries, Seeded Eucalyptus and Tropical Ti Leaves.

Chandra and Matt’s wedding included a priority for beautiful music. The ethereal sound of Wedding Musicians Company String Quartet permeated the garden terrace as Chandra walks to the altar with her mother and father. This was one fabulous fall day for an outdoor wedding!

Cedarwood designers included tropical foliage and flowers in the altar for a fusion of fall exotic. We also made a fresh flower pillow from green button mums for a ring warming ceremony for Chandra and Matt.

Beginning with Chandra’s mother Tish Osborn, and ending with Matt’s mother Mindi Dudley, wedding rings were passed from person to person as guests paused for a moment to make wishes for their future together. Ring guardian, Harrison (Matt’s nephew) takes his job seriously!

To honor their union, Chandra and Matt had family bring sand from the West and East coasts for their unity sand ceremony. The ceremony was deeply personal as selected friends and family members shared their “photo blessings” and all were invited to add photos and notes to the photo blessing album afterward. Crowd involvement at a wedding ceremony makes everyone a sacred part of the vows between husband and wife, and Chandra and Matt were indeed blessed as they recessed to “Strawberry Swing” by Coldplay.

Chandra and Matt, we love your joy of life and we love your Cedarwood wedding!

Chandra and Matt’s reception was an unforgettable feast full of festivity. Join the celebration in our upcoming post: Hitched and Hip – Chandra and Matt Part 2.

More sensational photos by Phindy Studios coming up, including some picture perfect pre and post session shots.
