Style Preview : Jess and Sloane are getting married!

Engagement Photos by Souder Photography

We are always excited to feature wedding photos of Cedarwood couples and love seeing the results of our collective planning come together in one big beautiful event.

Planning is paramount in making a wedding style look seamlessly connected – and when a bride happens to be a designer herself, the synergy between us can make magic!

Jessica Burgess is a passionate antique collector, a designer and well, just ‘artsy’: killer combination for a bride planning a romantic farm wedding with whimsical, vintage and dramatic design elements. Color palette: Aqua, chartreuse, light gold with yellow and pink floral accents. How’s that for way cool wedding style!

We thought you’d enjoy a sneak peek of what’s in store for Jess and Michael “Sloane’s” August 28 wedding. Their adorable love bird motif is a hint of the yummy details to follow, but let’s first look at engagement photos by the talented Nashville Wedding Photographer  duo, Josh and Meg of Souder Photography (fast becoming one of our fave photogs!)

There are lots of wedding style hints in Jess and Sloane’s engagement photos, including the fun poker chips in the next picture.  Custom designed poker chips will be gifts for guests.

Jessica collaborated with an Etsy artist to design their wedding invitations. Jess says “She did a fantastic job! We used turquoise envelopes with a customized return address stamp (also from Etsy) that featured two birds. I also ordered custom postage stamps through zazzle.com and used a black and white engagement photo.”

Jess commissioned Etsy designer Sarah Timmons to create hand-make jewelry for her wedding. Bridesmaids will each wear a unique necklace – their gift from the bride.

The above photo is an example of the birdcages we’re using for centerpieces. Jessica collected several styles and painted them all aqua!  Cedarwood will fill them with fresh flowers and candles.

Above:  Burlap bags made by Jess’s mother will be filled with water, snacks, maps and Nashville stuff, and delivered to out-of-town guests’ hotels. The bird stencil used for the bags is from Etsy.  The monogram (top of this post)  was designed through WeddingChicks.com  for water bottle labels that will go in welcome bags.

Jessica’s quilt anchored her entire wedding style. A Christmas gift from her parents (from Etsy of course!) was inspiration for the color palette and entire wedding vintage farm vibe.

The quilt  will serve as a chic backdrop for the guest book Poloriod photo station!

Here’s a link you’ll want to see…Jess and Sloane’s wedding website done by the groom, who is a web designer: http://www.sloaneandjess.com/  Well done, Sloane!  The website also includes a gallery of more crazy-cool engagement photos by Souder Photography.

Check back in September to see all these great elements pulled together for Jess and Sloane’s Cedarwood farm wedding. We can’t wait!
