Fall is in the air and so is our passion for the game of football. We have a new reason to love the NFL this season. After his marriage to Amber Norton at Cedarwood this summer, Chris McCoy is playing professional football as a Miami Dolphin.
One look at this couple’s wedding cake topper confirms that Chris and Amber love sports almost as much as they love each other. Before this season’s NFL draft, Chris was a star football player for Middle Tennessee State University. Amber played basketball for Vanderbilt before meeting Chris last summer. They spent their senior college year growing in love together. When they realized neither of them could image a future without the other, they planned their wedding at Cedarwood on June 11 and the beginning of a new family. We love the quote by John Keats that set the tone for both the ceremony, and even more important, for their lives together: “Two souls with but a single thought, two hearts that beat as one.” These beautiful wedding day photos by Jeter Photography visually confirms that this is the essence of Amber and Chris’ relationship.
Amber loves classic and elegant style with a vintage bent, so Cedarwood’s historic charm was a perfect way to celebrate in a relaxed, laid back atmosphere. Classic sterling silver candelabras, ivory and red color and elegant calla lilies anchored the decor. It was important to Chris and Amber to create a reception that was both fun and festive and yet intimate enough to encourage families to interact and mingle. A great evening vibe and live music by “The Company Band” was the ticket to ensure a lively dance floor.

September ushers in the last lingering summer shine. Days shorten, temperatures cool and we find ourselves facing the seasonal shift sooner than we thought possible. These images by Krystal Mann of The Collection are our tribute to this year’s fantastic, romantic summer style, right in Cedarwood’s back yard. Today is a good day to feature the amazing video of Feria Cinematic Imagery, who captured the essence of our Cedarwood summer style shoot with photographer Krystal Mann.
Savvy Scoop, OneWed‘s super cool national bridal blog, featured the inspiration video today, calling it “sweet inspiration for backyard chic summer weddings.” They further say, “Its retro styling makes it the perfect way to say goodbye to this summer and hello to all of you summer 2011 brides!”
