Folk Art-Inspired Country : Claudia+Mark

Claudia and Mark Cofer followed the music to Nashville from San Diego a year ago and tied the knot in Americana-Southern style. Their wedding design was inspired by their love of farms, rural countryside and country music, especially contemporary bluegrass (of course, a fiddle was involved in the ceremony music!) West Coast guests came to Music City to experience Claudia and Mark’s  Nashville  lifestyle, topped off with a folk art-infused country wedding at Cedarwood on July 12, full of personal and original touches by the bride and groom. This is one of our favorite weddings shot by one of our favorite photographers, the talented Dove Wedding Photography.

Claudia and Mark are easy going, authentic and adventurous spirits, especially when it came to their wedding.  They wanted a laid back celebration with a southern vibe and artistic edge. A grad from the Art Institute of San Diego, Claudia’s innate sense of style bubbles over into everything she does.

Her DIY contributions ranged from the adorable button-embellished invitations, program fans and photo collage table numbers (featuring photos of the bride and groom at various Nashville landmarks) to the most adorable gingham garter and chic hairpieces for herself and her bridesmaids.  Cedarwood designers further infused the wedding design with vintage elements, including milk glass, quilts, a rustic wood cake plateau, primitive accents and other collectables, and even added button embellishments to Claudia’s bouquet. The whimsical lemon tree wedding cake by Patty Cakes was the most delicious design detail.
