Barn Beautiful

On this last day of 2010, we pay tribute to a cherished Cedarwood icon, our vintage red barn. We love this barn and how it anchors our property in historic humbleness, quaint country chic and rustic farm beauty.

In (More) High Cotton, Kelly+Brandon, Part 2

It was crucial for their marriage to be consummated in a Catholic church, yet Kelly and Brandon's dream wedding celebration involved vintage, Anthropologie-inspired styling, an outdoor countryside locale, preferably with a barn (standing in for Kelly's grandfather's Texas farm).

Boho Bride+Airstream = Love+Peace

Sometimes we hanker to design just for the joy of it, for artistic expression and inspiration. Our love and peace styled wedding sprung from this place: to be different and creative, have fun, connect with modern eco-bohemian lifestyles, express our love of all things vintage, and show off our 1970s Airstream.

Timeless Romance: Renee+Bronson

Photos by Donna Edmondson Photography

Renee Dotson and Bronson White met their sophomore year of high school and have been best friends ever since.  On September 18, they became husband and wife at Cedarwood in a fall garden ceremony that celebrated an eight year anniversary of love – a love greater than Renee can put into words (and she is a freelance writer!)  There’s a timeless romance in the union of two people who have  taken a slow path to marriage, who have seen both the magnificent and the mundane aspects of a relationship and learned how to accept and love each other unconditionally.

It’s no wonder that photographer Donna Edmondson was so focused on this couple and got so many stunning photos of Renee and Bronson.  Truly enough to fill up a big wedding story book that will delight the greatest romantics and entertain Renee and Bronson’s future (hopefully) kids and grand-kids.  We’ve picked a few of our favorites to share with you, starting with some lovely portraits of Renee.  She had her amazing gown re-designed (Renee also has a degree in fashion design) to perfectly accent her body contours. Renee wanted a classic bouquet of all red roses, and an earthy color palette for the tables, pairing brown and silver with fall colors.

Renee and Bronson elected to have an intimate wedding that was about their commitment to each other; no big bridal party and attended only by family and the closest of friends in a warm and inviting setting.  Simple, classic, romantic and timeless. Renee poured herself into this wedding, and we were always impressed with her passion about making their wedding day a reflection of their core relationship.  We also want to top our hats to Renee’s amazing mom, Lisa Dotson, for wanting her daughter to have magical wedding memories…for everything to be perfect for Renee.  (Lucky girl to have a dedicated mom like that!)

Renee and Bronson, may your love and friendship grow deeper each and every year. We wish you a lifetime of wedded happiness.

And our thanks to Donna Edmondson Photography for sending over these beautiful images. Donna credits her unique style of photography to her prior work as a professional model and former cast member on the infamous show Hee Haw as a “Hee Haw Honey” acting with Country Music’s biggest stars. Fun connection!
