In High Cotton : Kelly+Brandon

Photos by Kate Crafton Photography, The Studio Five

Hold on to your hats, because this wedding might just blow you away.  We were pumped while planning and designing wedding style elements with creative bride Kelly Dobson and her lucky guy, Brandon Risko. We were thrilled to actually see it all come together at their gorgeous September 26  Cedarwood reception.  But we were blown away to see the amazing photos of the day’s details by Kate Crafton Photography, one of the talented team members who form The Studio Five (assisted by Brian Kaplan).

We remember barely being able to control our enthusiasm at Kelly and Brandon’s first planning meeting when Kelly described her grandfather’s Texas farm and the cool vintage things stored in their barn!   Of course Texas to Tennessee is quite a haul, but Kelly’s father Parker Dobson and this fun family found a way to deliver some materials to help us create a personally unique wedding, starting with cotton – hand picked from the family farm!

There’s lots of unique decor in this Anthropologie-esque vintage farm wedding celebration, including a hefty infusion of DIY elements and family tributes.  The purple, orange, brown and moss green colors anchoring this wedding design started with the bride’s bottle collection –  a great example of how our design team can combine personal heirlooms with Cedarwood’s vintage collections for a one-of-a-kind, wildly romantic-chic country wedding (just wait till you see the reception tables!) But we’re getting ahead of ourselves: first enjoy the delicious details in “part one” of Kelly and Brandon’s reception, featuring one of the most creative ‘guest book’ tables ever, lawn games and pre-dinner cocktails in the Cedarwood barn!

Much more Tennessee-Texas chic-ness coming up in “part 2″ of Kelly and Brandon’s wedding, with more dazzling photos by Kate Crafton.

And now some bonus detail photos taken by Cedarwood staff photographer Aspen Hall-Cook.

  2. Thanks Kate, always happy to have you here. Great job on the detail shots Brian. Cedarwood loves details, and we certainly don’t take good ones for granted. You and Kate were a great team. Hope to see you again.
