We are photography junkies almost as much as we are addicted to great design.  And we love many design styles, but none more than a collaboration between our design team and bride using family heirlooms in wedding styling. Haute Home Spun is our own term defining high toned design featuring simple, rustic, folksy elements embellished with personal items.  This style  has the ability to weave together a couple’s story and establish a mood of intimate camaraderie.  Jennefer and Rick’s April 22 wedding has all of these elements, and we had such a good time helping style this wedding!  Here’s a sneak peak from the blog of sensational photographer, Kristyn Hogan.  Kristyn and Matt are pure joy to be around, and they know how to capture the essence of a wedding day.

Kristyn says, “You really can’t get much better than an outdoor wedding at Cedarwood with the beauty and peace of nature surrounding you. It’s such a fun, relaxing atmosphere and fits perfectly with Jennefer & Rick’s laid-back, sweet personalities. These two infused so many amazing personal touches into their day and it truly was a delight for Matt & I to document their day. From Jennefer’s grandmother’s quilt piece on the back of her one-of-a-kind custom wedding dress to her vintage brooch bouquet to the lawn games, hanky favors and decor from their personal collection of antiques, the day just couldn’t have been more beautiful. And of course you can’t forget Rick’s seersucker suit and bow-tie!”

“Mom & Dad seeing Jennefer for the first time in her dress :)”

‘This is why First Looks are so great.”

“Could a groom look more dapper? Love it! And the wedding gift Jennefer gave to him, a vintage pocket watch which he just loved.”

“Wow!”

“They were married in the barn surrounded by their closest family and friends.”

“Lawn games on a beautiful spring day in the countryside of Nashville with glass bottles of Coca-Cola. A wedding doesn’t get much better than that!”

“The team at Cedarwood executed Jennefer’s vision for her day with perfection. The whole day had such a bright, happy, authentic feel. Right down to the smallest detail.”

“Rick & Jennefer brought vintage glasses from their personal collections for everyone to toast with and vintage hankies for their guests to take home as favors. Such great personal touches!”

“Jennefer & Rick, you had such a beautiful wedding day and we wish you nothing but joy and years & years of antiquing together :)”

Ditto that!  Kristyn Hogan is a great photographer and just ‘nailed’ this wedding style, don’t you think?  Click here for Part 2 of Jennefer and Rick’s amazing wedding day details!  Jennefer and Rick, you know how we feel about you! XOXO

You Cedarwood gals sure do know how to throw a hitch’n party! And I know you know how Rick and I feel about you too! What a great blessing it was to have our big day at Cedarwood. It was perfect for us. Easy, laid back, perfectly executed with all our favorite things! But most importantly Cedarwood took our personalities and showed it in every single detail, exactly who Rick and I am! Nailed it! True talent really shown that day! And Kristyn and Matt Hogan, phenomenal! Couldn’t have asked for better photographers! Sweet, kind and so much fun! I highly recommend them to all!! Thank you so much for making our day this beautiful Cedarwood and so so very special for us!
