Lisa and Shawn are ‘new’ Southerners, having moved to Nashville from Chicago in 2010, but they embrace their new home with open arms.  When it came time to celebrate their love in marriage, they chose to bring their closest friends and family to Nashville to share a bit of Southern charm.  We are thrilled they chose Cedarwood for their classic, refined, upscale Southern Chic wedding!

Their journey from mid-west to south was one filled with a magical love connection and so many ‘meant-to-be’ stories that you just KNOW this couple is perfect for each other.  Only six weeks after the most romantic engagement ever, Shawn was able to rent his house of five years, quit his job, find a new one, leave his best friends and relocate to Nashville to build a life with Lisa.  I remember meeting Shawn at our planning session the morning after he had driven a moving truck all night – and he was totally together.  Love, promise and enthusiasm for life are powerful forces!

Helping Lisa and Shawn plan their wedding was a privilege. They explained the atmosphere around their wedding was very important and wanted the setting to be elegant, welcoming, low stress and visually rich with beautiful flowers and decor. Shawn wanted their invitations and paper goods to reflect their classic, elegant wedding, and we think Designs In Paper hit the mark! There are so many lovely, personal touches throughout this wedding. Lisa and Shawn’s ‘Love Philiosphy’ was a unique way to share their hearts with guests, especially ‘No.8′, Shawn’s leading line when he proposed to Lisa!
