Hands down, Lauren Gathany Albright, (DIY creative, artist, blogger, nurse and now newlywed) has to be one of the most charming Cedarwood brides to date! As the voice behind the Cedarwood Blog, I enthusiastically confess my love of written expression. The happiness of reading Lauren’s weddingbee.com blog posts (as Miss Dalmatian) throughout her wedding planning process was trumped only by the amazing styling and heartfelt DIY details Lauren made for her delightful May 12 country-vintage Cedarwood wedding. Short list: seriously impressive sewn fabric table runners with vintage lace doily accents, adorable fabric bunting for table assignments, crocheted lace gloves for bridesmaids, vintage cake topper and mis-matched china, ‘Sugar Wagon’ gourmet ice cream sandwiches and off-the-charts cool take home favors – petite burlap bags with ‘Loveless Cafe’ jam, cornbread and a spoon for instant joy! But topping it all is the original work-of-art wedding invitation Lauren designed using Cedarwood icons and a self portrait with the love of her life, Adam Albright, and their pup Echo.
We especially loved Lauren’s post-wedding post insights: “Now that I have made it to the other side, I have realized a few things. One, it is so fun to see all of the details that you pored your time, sweat and money into come together. It is an overwhelming feeling to see all of the choices that you have made along the way come to fruition all at once. And most of all, it is wonderfully exciting to see the most important choice that you made—the person that you are committing you life to—standing at the end of the aisle. Two, I will be joining the clan that believes that rain on your wedding day is good luck. Especially when the skies clear up enough between storms for you to still take outdoor photos and have an outdoor ceremony! Three, I will also be joining the choir of married girls whose advise to brides is to soak in every minute because it goes by so quickly. I am so glad that I received this advice because I took many moments throughout the day to stop and take it all in—to consciously make memories in my mind because, sure enough, it flew by!”
Congratulations Lauren and Adam on becoming “Mr. & Mrs. Dalmatian” and successful MBA graduate and Vanderbilt pediatric nurse!
Lauren, keep sharing your creative glow! We loved working with you, and we also loved having your photographers, Amber and John of Lotus Blossom Photography at Cedarwood! Thanks for sharing your images with us!

My oh my – that cake!! Fantastic… Lots of options for DIY fabric runners and bunting here
We absolutely loved Lauren and Adam AND photographing a wedding at Cedarwood! Can’t wait to do it again!!
Despite how amazing Lauren’s endlessly thoughtful wedding details were, and how poignant and beautifully she writes to tell all about it, I can assure all readers that she is somehow even more inspiring, intelligent, and wonderful in person. The extent to which she cared about making her wedding day special merely reflects the depth with which she cares not only for Adam, but for her friends and family who were there to share this moment in time. Lauren, you are simply fantastic, in every way.
