Karen and Ty Hollett wanted their May 5 wedding to be elegantly understated with a focus more on people than the event itself. Bridesmaids and Groomsmen were asked to wear a color and style that made them feel happy and beautiful, creating a romantic rainbow for Karen and Ty. Personal vows and a celebration, not just of the bride and groom, but everyone who was part of their love story, strengthened the bonds of family and friends.
Giving to others is a way of life for Karen and Ty. Both taught in low income communities through Teach for America, which was a common thread for their introduction despite being stationed in Phoenix and Hawaii, respectively. The instant spark they felt grew stronger through a long distance relationship until both Karen and Ty found opportunities to move to Nashville. Ty is a PhD student at Vanderbilt University studying Literacy, Language and Culture and Karen is an elementary school teacher working for Teach for America supporting teachers in low-income schools. Love got it right in joining these two amazing people. Enjoy their love and lovely spirits so colorfully expressed in their wedding style and photographs by Jen and Chris Creed.
Just like a rainbow, Karen and Ty radiate a beautiful and colorful light. We wish you much joy. Thanks to Jen and Chris Creed for sharing these photos with us!
