This wedding could make my heart flutter for days (actually…it has) with the incredibly delicate details Anthony and Kate Estes and family (big shout out to Kate’s mom Sandy DeWitt Baker!) used to express their bonds of love and family. We couldn’t be more impressed with these images by Dove Wedding Photography because they don’t miss a thing – from the intimate interactions in the bridal suite and groom’s cottage, to Kate and Anthony’s first look, to the arrival of guests and Kate’s poignant moments with her bridesmaids and parents before walking down the aisle. When we feature a wedding in two parts, you know the photography tells a remarkable story.
The details and decor in Kate and Anthony’s wedding are equally spectacular. Family treasures were lovingly and creatively displayed for the many extended family members who traveled to the wedding. It was truly a homecoming celebrating old and new. Kate’s dress — AMAZING — and the use of vintage lace, antique silver and gorgeous flowers in soft shades are a romantic masterpiece. Designs in Paper did a masterful job designing invitations and paper goods to match the vintage styling and romantic mood of this wedding. We hope you enjoy the first installment of our two-part feature of Kate and Anthony’s June 30 Cedarwood wedding. We can’t wait to show you the rest!
FROM KATE: “From day one of planning our wedding, Anthony and I wanted the special day to feel like a homecoming for family and friends. Our ceremony revolved around a simple expression, “Two families are becoming one. No need to select a side. Just select a seat.” It not only summs up the kind of marriage we want to nurture, but articulates how we wanted our family and friends to come together on our wedding day. That’s what made our wedding special – being surrounded family and friends both present as guest and those of generations past through family heirlooms we incorporated into our wedding decor.”
