Ceremonies

Outdoor ceremony spaces at Cedarwood include our outdoor Garden Terrace, a 5,400 square foot open air lawn. Framed by a pristine white farm fence and surrounded by roses, the garden terrace overlooks one of the most historic and beautiful country views in Nashville. The garden terrace is an idyllic setting for outdoor weddings with a capacity for seating up to 200 guests. The area is shaded by 5 Pm for a comfortable garden ceremony and optional tenting can be rented for added protection from the elements.

Outdoor wedding ceremonies can also be held on our six acre Natural Meadow. Cedarwood’s antique church pews and Victorian Gothic windows are upgrade options to create an open air country cathedral for up to 200 guests.

If saying your vows in rustic romance is your dream Cedarwood’s vintage Wedding Barn can be used as a ceremony site for up to 150 guests.

Intimate indoor ceremonies are held in the Double Parlor of our historic home. Appointed with a beautiful coffered ceiling, two masonry fireplaces with wood mantels, brick hearths and surround, and plantation shutters, the 522 square foot room provides a rich, warm and inviting space for candle light ceremonies for up to 75 guests.

Unique ceremony spaces also include our Antebellum Front Lawn facing the front of our Historic Home.

Rain options for outdoor ceremonies vary according to the season and the number of guests you expect, but include using the covered Pavilion, barn or tents. Policies regarding tenting can be reviewed in our FAQs.

Receptions

Every wedding deserves a celebration befitting the occasion. Whether an intimate candlelight dinner, casual outdoor party or fabulous tented gala complete with a ten piece orchestra, Cedarwood has refined Southern hospitality to create personalized celebrations for your wedding reception.

Reception space includes a 2,700 square-foot covered Pavilion used in conjunction with the Historic Yarbrough House providing a spacious setting surrounded by stately stone walls and beautiful gardens. Clear custom side walls for the Pavilion are provided during cool weather months and heating is available to ensure the comfort of your guests.

A 300 square-foot open-air Dance Floor and entertainment area adjoins the Pavilion. The dance floor can be tented, if needed, in the event of rain or cold.

Unconventional? Consider a hillside picnic on our wildflower meadow, or barn dance and barbecue, or an antebellum lawn cocktail party under a canopy of majestic trees aglow with our signature grounds lighting package. Our Estate Grounds are exclusively yours for your wedding day celebration.

Easy Access

One of the best features of Cedarwood is our close proximity to downtown Nashville and all major interstates via Briley Parkway. Click on our Directions page for a driving guide from various points in the mid-state area. Treat your guests to a drive in the country by taking the Scenic Route to Cedarwood.

Our one-acre Self Parking lot is private and protected, and can easily accommodate 80 guest vehicles. Optional valet parking or shuttle services can be arranged.
